Allen Sun

Allen is a Senior Director overseeing operations in China. He leads project and operational teams and serves as a technical advisor for projects in the region. He has over 15 years of experience in research and engineering, specifically in fire safety, fire risk assessment, urban disaster prevention, risk engineering and hazard resilience. He has expertise in fire life safety design and the evolution of fire risk in large, complex buildings, including high-rise and commercial structures, airport terminals, transit-oriented development (TOD) projects, cultural venues and stadiums. He also specializes in fire engineering for rolling stock and fire safety for energy storage systems (ESS). 

He has published several technical papers in international journals and at conferences. Notably, his paper titled "Fire Risk Assessment for Super High-Rise Buildings," published in Procedia Engineering, laid the foundation and model for fire risk assessment and fire safety management for super high-rise buildings throughout China. Allen is a member of several fire code committees in China and an expert panel member for AHJs in multiple provinces in China. He has established strong connections with academic institutions and is a guest professor at Shanghai Maritime University and China People's Police University.
