Dan Joyce, PE, CFEI, PI, is Director, Fire Forensics - Pacific Region + Principal Fire Protection Engineer who is experienced with fire origin and cause investigations involving various electrical and gas appliances, furnaces, heaters, welding equipment, extension cords, vehicle components and fuel fired equipment. Mr. Joyce is also experienced documenting and performing failure analyses of water releases resulting in property damage. As both a Chemical Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection, he specializes in design review, inspection, code/standards compliance, testing and failure analysis of fire protection systems, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, water supply systems, alarm systems, AFFF foam applications, carbon dioxide, wet chemical, dry chemical, halon and halon alternative extinguishing systems. Mr. Joyce is knowledgeable in chemical processing and manufacturing equipment. His experience includes the identification of hazards and loss prevention solutions, including human element programs, within most types of operations and occupancies including oil refineries, chemical and petrochemical facilities, automotive manufacturing, warehouses, forest products and health care institutions.
