Stephen has over a decade of experience leading Research and Development projects focused on product development, custom fire testing for product evaluation and litigation support, residential fuel-gas detection, evaluating thermal resilience of fire hoses, and lithium-ion battery testing. Over the past several years, he has been involved extensively with UL9540A testing of battery energy storage systems from cell level evaluation through full scale installation level testing. Through presentations, publications, and patents, Stephen is constantly working to advance the current state-of-the-art in fire safety technology and improve industry best practices.
