In March 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released updated guidance on Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for industrial operators. This white paper on mapping requirements, along with a subsequent one on monitoring requirements, addresses updates identified in the guidance and provides an overview of the elements that are required of SWPPP maps per the EPA requirements. It also includes an example map and links to further resources.
