Jensen Hughes, the global leader in safety, security and risk-based engineering and consulting, announced today the acquisition of Technical Response Planning Corporation (‘TRP’), a market leader and pioneer in emergency management and business continuity planning software and consulting mainly for the Power, Oil & Gas industry and more recently the automotive, manufacturing and transportation industries.
Following the acquisition of Russell Phillips & Associates (RPA) in 2017, Jensen Hughes continues to make strategic acquisitions in the safety-related fields, specifically emergency management and planning services.
TRP has revolutionized emergency planning and response by providing a cloud-based SaaS platform. TRP’s software products SMARTPLAN™ and SMARTRESPONSE™ are used by large, blue-chip, multi-facility clients in the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Energy sectors to efficiently manage their emergency plans, responses, and compliance requirements.
Headquartered in Houston, TRP was founded in 1995 by Steve Bassine as an opportunity to provide innovative response planning to the Oil & Gas industry in which he had spent most of his career. The company serves over 50 accounts globally, including Chevron and BP, and continues to grow.
“We continually hear from clients, especially in our most complex verticals, that implementing, and subsequently managing emergency response plans continues to be a challenge. TRP is a pioneer in this field and we are thrilled to be able to bring their expertise and capability to our clients and help support their continued growth,” said Paul Orzeske, CEO, Jensen Hughes. “Steve is a visionary and has built a tremendous business. We look forward to working together to continue to grow this vision exponentially.”
“Since our beginning, we have worked tirelessly to exceed client expectations and find a better way to deliver response plans. We have been extremely successful in serving our clients over the last 23 years and are now eager to partner with a team like Jensen Hughes who can really help us make inroads into other heavily-regulated industries and geographies,” said Steve Bassine, President, TRP. “Our team is ready and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure our knowledge and experience can be shared as widely as possible.
