Jensen Hughes is proud to be among Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s 2016 MEP Giants list, ranking number six. Our firm is up from last year’s ranking of 13, with the yearly MEP Design revenue in 2015 reported at $126 million.
The article notes a shift in revenue and an increase in gross revenue when compared to the prior year. The speculation is that the shift is most likely attributed to company mergers and acquisitions, along with larger and more varied projects. The total amount of mergers and acquisitions in 2016 was 21 percent, the same as in 2015.
Jensen Hughes is also among the firms highlighted in the article following the MEP Giants list entitled, “2015 sets new records for M&A.” It focuses on the numerous mergers and acquisitions of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering firms.
In 2015, Jensen Hughes announced the acquisitions of Nexus Technical Service Corporation, Sereca Consulting, Erin Engineering and Research, Randal Brown & Associates Engineering, and Gage-Babcock and Associates, Ltd. The following year in 2016, Jensen Hughes acquired Aon Fire Protection Engineering Corporation, Stevenson & Associates, and CASE Forensics Corporation.
The acquisition of additional firms increases Jensen Hughes’ expertise, global reach, and service capabilities.
