On April 15, 2019, the historic 850-year old Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France was set ablaze. The damage to the Cathedral could have been a lot worse if it weren’t for a firefighting robot named “Colossus.” The robot was sent in to help extinguish the fire and minimize risk to the firefighters. Offering his insights on this new generation of firefighters, Jensen Hughes’ Vice President of Research + Development, Brian Lattimer, PhD mentioned that the “there’s no one type of firefighting robot that will be able to support firefighters in all the different situations.”
