Colin has 25 years of experience in the building and construction industry with a comprehensive knowledge of design, building trades and project management disciplines. He has demonstrated understanding of relevant acts, regulations and standards, and the application of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Building Code of Australia (BCA), AS1428.1 and related building codes. Prior to joining Jensen Hughes, he spent over a decade working for an architectural firm where he was actively involved in design and implementation of DDA accessibility. He now provides accessibility advice for projects across Australia focusing on a wide variety of building types within the commercial, educational, hospital, entertainment and retail sectors. Colin’s depth of knowledge within the construction industry and accessibility enables him to understand the clients project needs and work together with varied project teams to create accessible and inclusive environments with a focus on achievable outcomes for all users of the built environment regardless of their abilities.
