GenesisCare Integrated Cancer & Health Centre, Campbelltown
Project Profile
Jensen Hughes was thrilled to participate in the GenesisCare Integrated Cancer & Health Centre, Campbelltown project. We collaborated with Erilyan to provide building code, accessibility, fire safety engineering and passive fire consultancy.
GenesisCare Campbelltown is a new $54 million integrated cancer centre and research hub that has opened as part of the new Macarthur Health Precinct developed by Northwest Healthcare Properties through its NZX-listed fund Vital Healthcare Property Trust. The centre offers state-of-the-art cancer care and health services, providing personalised, integrated oncology services for the Campbelltown and South West Sydney communities.
Our building code team offered expert guidance from the design stage to construction and completion, ensuring full compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC). They also provided continuous advice on regulations, ensuring the project was on track at each stage of construction.
We also provided key accessibility consultancy for the project, ensuring it met all relevant accessibility standards and requirements while maintaining the design’s integrity. As users have a wide range of mobility and needs, it was important to focus on creating a functional and inclusive space for all.
Jensen Hughes delivered fire safety engineering consultancy for the project, concentrating on creating customised fire-engineered performance solutions to guarantee that the building complied with all necessary fire safety standards outlined in the NCC.
Additionally, our passive fire team collaborated with stakeholders to provide ongoing guidance and regularly inspected passive fire penetrations to ensure that systems were installed correctly. This proactive approach ensured that fire safety measures were consistently upheld throughout the project’s development.
Working closely with Erilyn, we are proud to have contributed to the successful completion of the GenesisCare Integrated Cancer & Health Centre. Through our expert building code, accessibility, fire safety and passive fire consultancy, we assisted in ensuring the project met all regulatory standards while supporting its design and safety.
