Third Party Reviews

Third party peer reviews are often required in construction projects. This is because peer reviews can support submission paperwork under the building regulations or help you understand and evaluate a submission that a third party has presented to you. This review will identify the key drivers for the design approach, be it legislation, life safety or asset protection and insurance. We will then deliver an evaluation about the suitability of the design to achieve stakeholder requirements.

Our Goal for Peer Reviews

The goal of the peer review is to ensure that the fire safety measures and strategies incorporated into a building’s design meet the required safety standards, codes, and best practices. By engaging in peer reviews, we can verify that all aspects of fire safety, such as structural resilience and safe evacuation, are effectively addressed. The review also ensures that the design provides optimal safety for building occupants, meets regulatory requirements, and promotes the long-term safety and functionality of the building.

Benefits of a Peer Review

There are a number of reasons why you may need a third-party peer review. This could be because you need guidance on understanding the intricate details of a fire engineering report or the National Construction Code requirements.

As a project owner, architect or designer, you may have been presented with a design and you would like to independently verify the design solution as well as compliance with building codes and regulation to achieve the desired performance for the project. Jensen Hughes can help.
