EPP Plans for Long Term Care Requires a Customized Approach
On September 8, 2016, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that the Federal Register published the final rule “Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers.” The regulation went into effect on November 16, 2016. Hospitals and nursing homes must comply and implement all regulations one (1) year after the effective date, on November 15, 2017.
